The Challenge
A Malta-based shipping agency managing vessel port calls and cargo operations relied on email, spreadsheets, and phone calls to coordinate between vessel operators, harbour authorities, customs, and service providers. Each port call involved dozens of manual communications, creating delays, data inconsistencies, and occasional compliance oversights that risked fines from Transport Malta.
Our Approach
redskios mapped the complete port call lifecycle from pre-arrival notification through cargo operations to departure clearance. We identified integration points with Transport Malta systems, customs platforms, and common carrier communication protocols, then designed a platform that automated the coordination workflow while maintaining human oversight at critical decision points.

We delivered a Laravel-based port call management platform that automated pre-arrival documentation, coordinated service provider scheduling, tracked cargo operations in real time, and generated compliance reports for Transport Malta. The system integrated with AIS vessel tracking for automated ETA updates and connected with customs declaration platforms for streamlined cargo clearance.
