The Challenge

A pharmaceutical manufacturer in Malta operated SAP for financial and procurement management but relied on separate spreadsheet-based systems for production scheduling, quality control, and batch tracking on the shop floor. The disconnect between SAP and production reality meant inventory accuracy was below seventy percent, production planning was based on stale data, and batch traceability for GMP audits required laborious manual reconstruction.

Our Approach

redskios conducted on-site discovery sessions with production managers, quality assurance staff, and IT administrators to map the data gaps between SAP and shop floor operations. We designed an integration platform that captured production events in real time and synchronised them with SAP, while adding the quality management and batch tracking capabilities that the spreadsheet systems attempted to provide.

The Solution

We delivered a .NET-based manufacturing execution bridge that connected SAP with shop floor operations through barcode scanning, IoT sensor integration, and operator terminals. The platform provided real-time production tracking, digital quality control checklists with electronic signatures, batch genealogy tracking, and bi-directional synchronisation with SAP for inventory, production orders, and cost allocation.
