The Challenge

A Malta-based insurer processed claims through a combination of a legacy desktop application, email communication with assessors, and manual financial reconciliation in their accounting system. Average claim settlement times exceeded industry benchmarks, policyholder satisfaction was declining, and the compliance team struggled to produce accurate loss ratio reporting for MFSA submissions.

Our Approach

redskios analysed the end-to-end claims lifecycle from first notification of loss through assessment, approval, and settlement. We identified that sixty percent of processing time was consumed by communication delays and data re-entry between systems, and designed a unified platform that automated these handoffs while preserving the human judgement required for complex claims assessment.

The Solution

We delivered a .NET-based claims management platform that digitised the entire claims lifecycle: online first notification of loss, automated assessor assignment and communication, configurable workflow rules for approval routing, integrated payment processing for settlements, and real-time management dashboards. The system automated MFSA loss ratio reporting and provided full audit trails for every claims decision.
