The Challenge
A mid-tier bank operating in Malta faced severe operational friction from disconnected core banking, payment processing, and regulatory reporting systems. Staff were manually re-keying transaction data across three platforms, consuming over forty analyst-hours per week and introducing reconciliation errors that triggered repeated queries from the MFSA during compliance audits.
Our Approach
redskios conducted a thorough integration assessment, mapping data flows between the core banking platform, payment gateway, and regulatory reporting engine. We designed a middleware layer using event-driven architecture to orchestrate real-time data exchange, with a phased rollout that addressed the highest-risk manual processes first.
The Solution
We delivered a .NET-based integration platform running on Azure, connecting the client's Temenos core banking system with their payment processing infrastructure and MFSA regulatory reporting portal. The platform included automated transaction reconciliation, real-time exception alerting, and scheduled regulatory report generation with pre-submission validation.
